干擾素（IFN）是一個具有強大抗病毒、抗增殖和免疫調節特性的細胞因子家族，根據其對細胞表面受體的結合特異性進行分類。在人類和小鼠基因組中發現了十幾種密切相關的IFN-α亞型，每種亞型共享約80%的氨基酸（aa）序列同源性。人類IFNA2、IFNA2a、IFNA2b和IFNA2c有幾種變體，它們只相差幾個點突變。成熟人IFNA2b的胞外結構域（ECD）與小鼠IFNA2具有59%的aa序列同一性。
